This product is targeted for the software dealers. It tracks the
software installed at their clients, their warranty and service
contracts. The system also has a call management module, which is used
to record the online telephone calls made by clients. The field visits
made by the service personnel can also be tracked. The software dealers
get the whole history of transactions done with the customer along with
the revenue details.

The system was developed for a mobile telephone company having
multi-layered sales network. The sales network involved distributors,
dealers, retailers and the companies area office who were involved in
direct sales. These entities could place their orders directly and can
track their order status. The head office could trace the exact orders
placed on them and material delivered to the sales points and the
current stock with them and with the every sales point.

Corporate Intranet System

The company wide intranet system was based on the open-source Rainbow
intranet system. The existing modules in Rainbow were customized. New
modules like document sharing with access levels, news, FAQ, Project
Management, Task Management, Client Management, Appointments, Expenses,
Timesheets were written. A set of reports was implemented for every
module. Every user has facility to customize the colors and look and
feel of the system. The SQL server is used as back end. The business
logic is written in the SQL Server stored procedures. In the front end,
the data grids are extensively used to facilitate display of data and
provide facilities such as sorting. The data-filtering was implemented
for all the reports and some principal screens.

The steel manufactures is the manufacturer of steel building material.
The construction companies purchase the material. The material is
delivered at their office or at the construction site. The website
provided the construction companies to order the new material and also
track the status of existing orders. The payments were accepted through
credit cards or as cheques.

The customer needs to change the information displayed on the web site
very frequently. The information on the web site is managed as various
categories. The categories have parent / child relationship. A category
can have sub categories along with a web page attached to it. The
existing web site was a static one and changing the information and it's
hierarchy was a tedious task. The new system was designed using PHP and
MySQL database. Now the information about categories is stored in MySQL
tables. The admin pages allow user to move one category from the
existing parent to any other desired category. This way the structure of
the information put on the website can be easily changed. When any
visitor visits the website the root level category is displayed along
with the links to its children categories. The HTML pages and the PHP
code are isolated, so that the changing the page layout does not need
require any change to the PHP code.

website displays the image of the house along with floor plans and
pricing information. The visitor can search for a particular house by
providing various search criteria like city, community, price range etc.
The visitor can also request for a specific information; this
information is send to the admin / user via email. Separate user logins
are created for the buyers of the houses. The buyers can login to the
website and check the progress of the construction. For the buyers the
information like the various agreements and other documents is also
stored, which can be downloaded. A separate versatile admin module is
written to manage the complete web site. The admin module allows
administrator to create the various cities, communities, building types
and houses. The administ rator can upload the images of the houses,
various documents, sales sheets etc. The administrator can also create
users and allot the houses to them.

This is a bug tracking system the software firm. The admin enters the
ongoing projects. The testers / programmers can enter the bug found
while testing a project. The admin assigns the bug to the appropriate
programmer. Once the programmer takes action on the bug, s/he can change

extensive reports required project wise, programmer wise. The reports

A mail manager application was written in Perl / HTML / JavaScript. The
program allowed the administrator to manage various mailing lists. The
principal use of the web site was to send emails to all / selected
subscribers. The mails could be sent as plain text or in HTML format
along with the attachments. The application allowed the administrator to
upload the necessary files, which could be sent as attachments. The web
site also provided separate URLs to subscribers to subscribe or
unsubscribe to the mailing lists.

VS Mail

VS mail is implemented as a service on NT. VS Mail is a part of
statistical package Vital Statistix. Using Vital Statistix the user can
define questionnaires and analyze the answers to these questionnaires.
It also has a feature to send these questionnaires through e-mail and
also receive the answers using e-mail. VS Mail implements this
functionality using MAPI. It sends the questionnaire(s) based on a
predefined schedule. It also processed the response received to these
mails, and stores answers in SQL server database tables.

Document Server

This product allows the users to manage heterogeneous document database
over the web. This product was implemented using ISAPI extension DLLs. This
set of DLLs include the functionality for user management, login, binary
document transfer between the document server and the client. The document
server was hosted on a web server (IIS) while the client was a stand alone
program (developed in Delphi) communicating with the server using HTTP
protocol.

Compaq Asset Manager

This product allows Compaq employees to raise requests for IT equipment.
The raised request follows an approval cycle and the order gets generated for
the requested equipment. The project was done along with the team of Softcorner.
It involved designing the database, stored procedures, HTMLs, writing code using
ASP and sending mails using SMTP.
